How do I tell if the Bearing is bad

I had problems with my dryer’s drum not turning. I went ahead and took the drum out through the front and literally have taken the whole dryer apart. I took the bearing out as that seems to be the culprit. How do I tell if it’s bad and how much will it cost to get a new one to replace it?

Hi Vicki

If the motor and belt are ok, the rear bearing assembly is probably the culprit. Now that you have done the hard work by taking things apart, replacing it is fairly easy and inexpensive.
