The refrigerator is not cooling. Freezer seems OK at this time but is starting to get a tweak warmer. Back panel of freezer is frosted so the evaporator coils must be frosted over pretty heavy. I need to remove the ice maker so I can get to the coils to defrost them with a hair dryer. I can’t figure out how to remove the ice maker. I could unplug the refrigerator and let it defrost but wouldn’t the melted ice cause water to drain out onto the floor and ruin my hardwood floor? I am hoping if I can defrost the evaporator coils that will buy me some time to locate the failing component. Thanks for your help.
