How to replace drum bearing

I bought this unit used, so I am not sure the exact age, but I have had it for about 5 years.

Either way, the dryer has always had a squeak that would sound every now and then, but then dissappear. I am pretty sure it is coming from the drum bearings. The noise centers around the drum on the back of the unit.

I tried to take it apart tonight, only to find out that you have to have a Masters degree to get to the back of the drum. I removed every screw from the back, then the top, and had the top of the drum exposed, and the control panel removed. Hoever I couldn’t for the life of me get the back to actually remove. At this point I am guessing that you have to remove the drum, not the back panel, as it would look.

Is it worth trying to replace the bearings? If I do, is there anything else I should replace while I have the unit down for service?

Does anyone have a service manual for this unit? I have searched high and low and found very little on this model.
