How to seperate stainless steel drum

Hey everyone, I have a Whirlpool duet sport front load washer. I have been having a bearing noise come from it for a little bit and finally go around to tearing it apart. I have the outer drums seperated but now I am stuck. How do I get the inner stainless steel basket off the rear drum part?

I found a copy of the service manual and according to it it’s just suposed to come apart! This thing is stuck tight! Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it apart?

You use a very heavy hammer and a block of wood to pound it out. Personally, I would put it back together and call for warranty repair. The tub and spin gasket are covered under warranty, for 10 years.

Are you sure there is a ten year warrenty on those parts? I read the warrenty before I even touched it and all it says is a one year warrenty on everything, nothing about ten?

I would call Whirlpool to confirm warranty. Someone else had coverage, but maybe they stopped it for later models.
