[SIZE=3]My Whirlpool side by side refrigerator, model # ED2JHGXRQ00 is not defrosting. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=3]I don’t see a defrost timer in the parts breakdown list but the parts list shows a “bi-metal defrost”. Is this the same thing? I ohmed out the heater coil at 26 ohms. Any ideas?[/SIZE]

Joe,
your model has an electronic control. It’s either the control or the defrost bi-metal

Is there a way for me to determine whether it is the bi-metal or the controller?
