I have water turning to ice on the floor of the freezer below the bottom basket and I also have a slow water leak that appears to be coming from below the freezer door hinge.
the defrost drain is plugged in the evap tray and defrost water is overflowing in freezer and making ice and when it goes into another defrost cycle the ice melts because the defrost heater is warming up the freezer section above freezing and the water has no where else to go but out the door and on the floor.because you have a cake of it covering the freezer bottom
How is this solved?
Melt it down. empty the freezer get as much of the big chunks that you can get a bunch of towels lay in front of freezer turn off frig get a shop vac start pouring hot water over the ice vacuum it up as you are pouring when you make it to the rear panel remove that start pouring hot water over the ledge just under the evaporator coil the defrost drain will be in there eventually when the ice is gone you will see a drain hole keep pouring hot water and sucking it up until the water flows down the hole if its a ge they have something similar to a p-trap in the machine compartment that will get plugged up with sludge that will have to be cleared from the rear of the frig where the compressor is. I’m talking about a Side by side or bottom mount. Then Install a drain heater so it doesn’t happen again
help, oven will not hold temperature that I set.

Sounds really easy. I’ve pulled fridge out, emptied freezer, took off back and front panels. Can’t find anything that looks like a drain. Removed ice from freezer floor. Where’s the drain? Model GX5fhdva03
