When we press the ice dispenser, we get crumbled bits of ice. We read the forum and it said to order a new ice door kit because it isn’t sealing and ice buildup is the cause. We did that. When we got to the part taking the old ice chute out to replace it, we saw that the white plastic tabs that hold the pin for the ice chute is broken so the ice door kit did not do us any good. No one seems to be able to tell me which part to order to replace this plastic tab. Help.
Hi.
This is the breakdown diagram of the dispenser.
Can you recognize the tabs you are talking about?
Thank you.
Simon.
You’ll need a part # AP3872692, comes with instructions. be sure to follow them and test fit bracket before removing tape backing, it’s very unforgiving. Hope this helps.
Simon, I could not see the diagram you are talking about. How do I find it?
Also, someone said to order part # AP3872692 which is the ice chute door kit but this does not include the white plastic tabs with a tiny hole in the middle that fits the pin for the ice chute door.
Hi.
Sorry, for some reason the diagram didn’t go through.

Thank you.

You can’t replace the plastic tabs, they are part of the liner. The part number i listed comes with a metal bracket that makes those tabs obsolete.
