I recently ordered a replacement motor(AP3776020 (2188869) - Motor) for my whirlpool ice dispensor motor and am trying to remove the shaft from the old motor. it looks to be rusted and won’t budge from the shaft. Ive sprayed the shaft where it slides into the motor with wd-40 and a 7/11 penetrating oil, but it is stuck. I hit it with a rubber mallet trying not to damage the freezer door in the process with no luck. Since the motor and shaft are stuck together, i can’t remove it from the door because it is too long to slide out to put it in a vice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
