Removal of shaft from ice motor dispenser

How do you remove the shaft from the ice dispenser motor. The motor will not come out of the door until the shaft is removed.

Kenmore model 106.56709500 refrigerator. Auger motor needs replacing. When I try to remove the auger shaft from the motor, the shaft is stuck in the motor. How do I remove it?
