I have a GE side by side refrigerator/ freezer model pss26mstass. The Ice maker and water dispenser are not dispensing. This problem started a few months ago and was very intermittent, now it is chronic. The water dispenser still occasionally dispenses though. The ice maker is producing ice, it is just not running the auger to dispense through the door. I have found that when I depress the lever to request ice I hear a clicking sound at the mother board (lower/ rear of the unit) and the compressor turns off for a moment. The green light at the dispenser also dims or completely turns off when the lever is actuated. (I am confident this is not working properly, something is over amping). I live in a rural area and finding a repair tech has been a challenge. I have found a repair tech that lives near and is willing to help; However he appears to be stumped as well. He has recommended I order the mother board and try this first, I ordered from your site today. The repair tech has indicated that there is typically a wiring diagram hidden somewhere in the unit and I have been unable to find it. GE has not been a great help as they tell me to contact an authorized repair agent in my area; However there is not an agent within 100 miles of where I live and there website and automated phone system is not programed to help someone like me in such a rural place. I will know soon if the new mother board remedies the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.
Does anyone know where I could find the electrical scematic for this unit?
