my kitchen aid ice maker stopped working. following your forum, I closed the flapper on the left side of the freezer compartment and the red light stayed on. The water inlet tube was not frozen. Replaced the entire icemaker assembly with a new one. Still doen’t fill with water to make ice. no rotation motion of icemaker so I seem to be out of what to do next.
Have not replaced the water inlet valve. I also have another Kitchen Aid model ksrg25fkss15 that the icemaker has the same part number and the emitter/receiver part numbers are the same as the kscs25fvbt00 emitter/receiver. This second model is not used for making ice and is not connected to water. However the water inlet valve has a different part number.
What would you suggest. I can swap out the second ice maker with the new one I installed to see if I got a defective part and can switch out the emitter/receiver to see if that is the problem.
