My Kitchen Aid ice maker is not working. I bought a new I/M unit and installed. The water filled the ice maker correctly, froze and the ice dumped into the bin with in 3 hours. The water refilled the ice maker and is frozen. I thought everything was fine, except it stopped after the water refilled for the second time and is not producing ice.
I have checked the emitter and receiver on the door, it appears to be fine. When the door is open and the freezer light is on it blinks, when I close the flapper the light goes solid red. I have noticed that when I close the flapper and turn off the freezer light I do not get a red light, no blinking or solid. Not sure if that is correct.
I checked the water valves and they are fine.
The fingers on the ice maker are in the correct position and did a complete rotation.
I’m confused as to what the issue could be, it worked perfectly 1 time and then stopped.
