Ice maker not working

The ice maker just stopped producing ice.I made sure water was getting to the fill valve, and it is. I replaced the valve, but water still does not reach the ice maker. I noticed the arm on the ice maker was up(in the off position) I put it down and within a couple of minutes it would slowly go back up into the off position. Can’t help but wonder if there is something else simple to look at before a put a new ice maker on it. This unit is ice maker only. No through the door stuff.

PNS,
The bail arm, will rise and fall as the icemaker cycles, but it should not stay up in the "off" position. If it is staying up or if it is still not filling with water, you’ll need a new control head, there would be an issue with the mechanics in the control head.

Fridge will turn on and off repeatedly, every 2-3 seconds, usually for 10-20 minutes at a time. It may only do this three or four times a day. The remainder of the time it appears run fine. Inside temperatures appear to be ok.
