Ignitor? No heat, no gas smell, broiler works

Our oven will not light. There is no gas smell. The range and broiler work fine. My assumption is that it’s the ignitor:

I believe in a previous home (and oven repair) we still had a gas smell when the ignitor needed to be replaced, so I’m just checking to make sure that "no gas smell" is still consistent with a faulty ignitor. I suppose the oven could have a safety mechanism that kills the gas in the event the ignitor doesn’t work, but I don’t know for sure.

Any help would be appreciated. I’ve replaced ignitors before, so I’m not worried about that. Just don’t want to drop $65 unless that what it seems like. Thanks!

Very likely you are on the right track but you may want to verify 120 VAC to the igniter while the control calls for Bake before you’ll order it.

If the voltage reading is incorrect then the cause of the problem can be different.

I am getting 120V to the ignitor… so I will order a new ignitor. Thanks!

You are welcome. Keep us posted.
