Suddenly, the inner burner of the triple burner on the R.F. stopped working. The outer two rings continue to function.
When I turn the knob to counter clockwise to turn on only the inner burner, the burner-on light goes on, but there is no heat and the heat-on light does not go on. When I turn the knob clockwise, the inner burner does not go on, but the middle and or middle and outer burner rings do work.
I took the top off and tested the triple element. Got readings for the outer (~10 ohms less than spec - 72 instead of 82) and middle element (52 instead of 57), but the inner element returned 0 ohms. It seems then the inner element is defective.
With this information and looking at the parts list, it seems I will need to replace the entire triple element (and not just the inner element of the assembly). Am I correct?
Thank you for the advice and the documents - they have been most help and I am very appreciative.

Yes. The triple element is a single part. If any of it has failed, the whole thing must be replaced.
