Inner Oven Glass Replacement

I need instructions for replacement of the inner oven door glass on my Dacor range (RSD30S) . . . disassembly, reassambly, etc. I believe I can order the glass. Thanks.

Thanks,
It looks like to remove the door, I lock the hinges with the little tabs and then lift the door forward which pops the door off. Is that correct?

You got it! Gene

It’s fairly easy to disassemble. Remove the door and set it on it’s front face. Push the hinges in and unlock them because they may need to be removed. Remove the screws coming in from the bottom of the door. Next remove the screws on the right and left side of the door near the top. Once these screws are removed, the inside of the door will pull apart from the outer front shell. Open the door up, remove the hinges. Lastly remove the insulation and then remove the screws going around the glass pack and remove the glass pack.

I just did this on the larger door of my ERD48. Gene’s instructions were very good (Thanks Gene) but, at least with my door, I found the following diffrences…

The two outmost screws at the bottom do not need to be removed. The inner 5 did.
I didn’t need to unlock or remove the springs.
Once I pulled the inside of the door out of the surrounding bit and flipped it over I then had 4 screws that held a shield in place. These screws also hold the glass pack in place. I then carefully removed the shield leaving the insulation in place. The glass pack is now free to replace.

And then everything in reverse. Very simple job…from removing the door to having it back on the range was no more than 15 minutes. I could probably do it in under 10 minutes next time. Make sure you have a good phillips screwdriver of the right size. A couple of the shield screws were very tight and I came close to stripping the head of one before getting a better fitting screwdriver.
