I’m working on a jenn air electric range. Not real fimiliar with the fault codes on this unit. The problem is the control is flashing frequently and the convection fan/bake cycle will try to start up at random. After it does this a couple of times it will flash the f 1 8 code. Could this be the oven sensor or possibly the touchpad/membrane.

The "F1-8" error code means "Shorted key in membrane switch". The correction is to replace the control panel. If you need the correct part number then post the color of it.

I did check the power near the bottom behind the lower panel and to the right while it was connected to the main power source. Their was no juice on the part of the dishwasher. Are you saying I should use a volt meter inside the panel on the actual Bi-metal part while it is attached to the main power source?
