Jennair F1 Error

Shortly after we attempted a self-cleaning, our JennAir range began beeping and displayed an F1 error, which will not go away. I researched the error code online, and found that it could be the touch pad or the ERC. I disconnected the ribbon strip, powered the range back on, and the F1 code reappeared immediatley. This seems to indicate the ERC. My question concerns which part I should order. Is the ERC called the panel control, part # A375454, or is it the clock with overlay, part # 74008112?

Am also wondering if this is an easy part to replace.

Thanks

The clock with overlay arrived today, I installed it and immediatley got the F1 error upon plugging the range back in. I am sure it is wired correctly as I took digital pictures of the connections before removing the old part.
Any ideas?

I can not believe it but it sounds like the new part is defective. You have to call the customer service to exchange the part under the part warranty.

Gene.

The 2nd replacement part arrived, upon install it produced the same F1 error. The problem must be something else:confused:
