My problem is the dryer not heating up. I watched a lot of videos for kenmore dryer model 11063952101. I tested the coil for continuity and the thermistor and both thermal fuses. Everything is working as expected. I was really hoping one of them will fail fail and I could easily replace the part. out of options, I plugged in the dryer and turned it on. I did not see the coil getting red hot even after a few mins. So, the heating isn’t happening and I do not know what else to check now. Any help?
The first thing to check is always the power.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the wall receptacle
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Do this with the heater off and on (unit running).
[h]Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!![/h]
Thank you for the response. I checked the voltage at the wall receptacle. It looks good. L1 to L2 is 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both are 120 volts. Any other ideas?
I was reading online that in some very rare cases, a defective timer can also be causing this. But the part is a bit expensive and I am not even sure if It is worth the trouble of trying it out. The drum rotates fine. It is just the heating element that is not working.
Below is a link to a post that includes the tech sheet as an attachment.

Unplug the unit and swap the motor and heater relays.
I believe they are the same but double check this.
Then give it a try.
If it will not start then yiou kn ow that a bad relay is the most likely cause,
