Hi, I have a Kenmore washer that won’t drain. I did some googling and went through the troubleshooting process. The drain hose is not clogged or kinked. I tested the motor with a multimeter and got the correct resistance values according to the wiring diagram taped inside. The pump wasn’t clogged or broken. Some of the vanes were worn so I replaced it anyway. I put it all back together and it still won’t drain.
Here’s what it does. It fills and agitates fine. When it’s supposed to drain the tub nothing happens. It doesn’t make any noise. The control knob doesn’t advance to the next cycle. It just sits there full of water.
I checked the lid switch. It’s broken and needs to be replaced, but if I hold the switch together, I can hear it clicking and I can also hear three clicks from the control knob but nothing happens.
