I’ve received so much help on this forum over the years, I’m hoping this time will be no different. I have a 13-years old Kenmore Elite dryer that, all of a sudden, started to squeal or squeak (not sure of the difference). Everything else seems to be working, but with the addition of the noise.
This morning, for the heck of it, I turned it on for a couple of minutes and it was not making the noise. The only difference is that it’s empty now and yesterday it was full of clothes that were just about completely dried.
As mentioned in my other thread, the last time I had an issue with this dryer, the dryer is in a real awkward position that makes it difficult to get to the back of the unit, so anything that can be done from the top for front, would be the best. Obviously, if I have to get to the back, I’ll have to do that.
What should be my 1st troubleshooting action?
