Hi, I have a kenmore elite that works fine but is making a loud noise. I had a similar issue with a different dryer in the past and it turned out to be the idler assembly, I changed that it and it did the trick. I thougt I’d open the kenmore up and investigate, I can’t even get the back off and I can’t find a service manual on line.
Any thoughts?
Hello RNB19. On this model, there are two clips on the toe panel on the front of the dryer. Release these clips and pull the toe panel forward to release. From there you can inspect the idler pulley and the rollers. Hope this helps. [part]AP5177441[/part] [part]AP3094197[/part]
