Kenmore Elite dishwasher add a dish light flashing

My Kenmore elite dishwasher’s add a dish light is flashing and it wont run a cycle. It will apparently run a top rack only cycle though.

Steps I have performed:

  1. Ran the diagnostic cycle by pressing 3 buttons in sequence 3 times.
    Result: the "Normal Wash" and "High Temp" flash at the end of the diagnostic and do not go out until I hit cancel.

  2. Hard power reset, removed power at the circuit breaker for 30 mins, then performed the diagnostic again.
    Result: Same as above.

  3. Based on forums that I have read I tested both the "Flood switch" and the "Latch switch" with a voltmeter for continuity upon activation. Both switches are fine.

I really don’t want to pay sears their $120 blood money to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
