18 month old Kenmore Elite Side by Side Refrigerator. Ice Maker stopped working but water dispenser feature continues to work. LED light flashes twice - pauses- then repeats. Water supply to ice maker is not frozen. Attempted diagnostics (by-pass H and T on ice maker) but ice maker did not harvest as it was supposed to.
I have reviewed many repair sites and reviewed trouble shooting guides but am unsure how to determine if the icemaker unit (part 10190961) or optics emitter and receiver (4389102) is faulty.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
