Hello all! I have a model 70 Kenmore gas dryer. It will not heat up. The igniter is glowing but the gas will not ignite. I was wonderIng it any of you know what would be the part that allows gas to flow to the iginitor & is there a way to test it, i.e. a multi tester etc? You will help me make the wife happy it you can help. thanks!
If you want to make your wife happy, replace the coils on the gas valve. Tom
Tom I am sending you one of my boys to help around the farm! I can’t believe I didn’t check the door switch!!! It must have vibrated off of the terminal. The connection was loose, just needed to have the blade connector squeezed with some pliers to tighten it. Thanks man, you are the best. I get to sleep in the house tonight, Woo hoo!!!
