Our 5 year old Kenmore compact refrigerator/top freezer recently quit cooling. The fan is still running, but there is no cooling. Prior to the problem, both the refrigerator and freezer compartments were fully loaded. I believe we blocked the vents in the freezer and stopped the cool air circulation with too much stuff loaded in the freezer. I don’t think the compressor is running, and wonder if it could be a thermostat, overload relay or other electrical problem not allowing the compressor to come on.
The unit is clean-no condensor dirt or plugged drain line to the tray. I don’t own but would be be willing to buy a multi-meter if needed to test appropriate components.
Thanks for any ideas to help diagnose the problem!
