[SIZE=3]Ok, this is whats going on. It won’t spin or agitate, but every once and awhile it will, but makes loud clicking kind of noise, when agitate, spin or drain. You can hear the motor hum when it won’t agitate etc. Motor coupling is fine, and I thought it was the gearbox, but that’s has been replaced and still same problem. So now I’m thinking clutch or break, but not sure which it is. So asking for help, I don’t want to replace anymore good parts. Remove the pump and turn the motor shaft both ways. If not stuck, remove the pump hoses and check for blockage.
Motor turns fine both ways, pump turn fine also. No blockage in pump or hoses.
Turn the motor shaft clockwise till the tranny goes into spin. If hard to turn, you have either jamed brake shoes, or something stuck in the tub.
When turning motor clockwise by hand and the tranny goes to spin I can not turn it by just using my fingers. So I guess I’m looking at a brake job. Bummer I had to go to the airport yesterday before I saw your last post, because I was sure it was the clutch so I got one. Have had time to mess with the washer until now. So I guess I start tearing it apart to get to the brakes. Thanks for your help, I for got to mention that it’s an 80 Series. Figured no time like the present to add.
I was kind of hope for a less extensive repair, but that’s how my luck seems to work. Any brake tips? I think I saw somthing on here about direct drive brakes so I’ll start there.

Ok from looking at it the clutch looks fine and the brake pads look good also. I can turn the plastic clutch piece on the brake and the brakes release and turn good. pads seem to be wearing even. I have added some pic. I’m going to take the cabinet off and take out the tub to make sure nothings in there. Before I go any further on the brakes.
Put new clutch in and still same problem, but does seem a little better. The 2 plastic pins were broken off on the old brake cam so was hoping that was part of it, but didn’t fix problem. So I guess I’m back to the brakes but they look and seem fine. Any thoughts on anything else that it could be?

Ok got tired of that washer, so I got one off of Craigslist for $100. I can take back the parts Igot for the other one so I end up saving a lot of money. The one I got is almost the same one I had before, but it’s a 70 series model no. 110.82673810 So I’m going to take some parts of the old one for spares before I ditch it. But the new one has an issue. When it goes to drain the water most of the time it doesn’t start spinning. But sometimes it works just fine. But if you turn it off then back on it starts spinning like it should. any thoughts on this? I appreciate all your help so far. Thanks
You have a bad timer, must pause in spin to engage tranny clutch.
I changed the water filter because it was leaking now the compressor does not come on, the lights are on and the display panel is blank!
Hello, I am looking for a little incite if possible. So basically Dryer turns on, runs for a while, then shuts off for 10 to 15 mins. and then starts back up again? This happens over and over. I like to try to save money and fix repairs like this. I thinking it could be some kind of dampness sensor or thermostat? I would greatly appreciate any input,
