Kenmore washer

There is a lubricant leak from the bottom of the washer. How can I detect where it is and how to repair.
thank you.
Raymond

The only lubricant is the transmission fluid in the tranny. It will leak if the top seal is broken. You need to remove the transmission, replace the seal and replace the fluid in it.

There is a video library on this site and others that will tell you how to remove the transmission from a Whirlpool direct drive washer. It is not as hard a job as it sounds like, but having a helper will help.
