Kitchen Aid oven stops working

My mothers kitchenaid oven turns off randomly where the power goes completely dead. This happens both when it’s not being used as well as when it is. Later, we find that it will show "PF" but not necessarily after it has shutdown. Sometimes random letters appear on the screen as well. She had one guy come by and suggested it was in her words "the computer" I’d like to replace it but I’m not sure of the parts needed. This has been happening on and off throughout the year and the breaker is not tripping so it doesn’t appear to be house wiring etc.
