Washer basket does not spin but water is pumped out. Could this be a belt or a gear? Is it difficult to replace? Also while in wash mode, agitator moves very slow. I can stop the agitator with my hand. The agitator will resume it’s slow motion when I let go of it.

You may have both an agitator dogs and clutch problem, but first check the motor coupling.
This video here will show you how.

Thanks, I found that video earlier today and took out my motor coupling after watching how to do it. My motor coupling looks bad. The inner diameter of the two outer triangular parts was worn and the parts could spin almost freely around the shaft of the motor. I will try replacing those first.
