KitchenAid Dishwasher KDS17 will not drain in cycle

Problem:
The washer will not drain during drain cycle.
I have done the following:

*]Remove drain valve and check for any blockage in hoses both before the valve and after. NONE The waste water did drain from the basin after removing hose from valve.
*]The valve (solenoid) does open and close during cycles and does work with bench test
*]Timer/controller seems to work good as the process goes thru sequences[/LIST]The supply water does recirculate as it pumps thru the wash and rinse cycles. I have no repair manual and would like to find one to download. I need advise from anyone that may have any suggestions on this problem and parts that may be needed. Also, some of the web sites I have been say that certain parts are unavailabe or discontinued.

Is the drain pump part of the motor and pump or is it completely separate
