Leaking Roper Washer

My wife put in a couple of dog beds tonight, and after the unit was done running, there was water underneath it and running out. I have no idea which part of the cycle made it leak. She thought she overfilled it, but judged by a little bit of rust at the base of the silver back cover, I suspect its been leaking for a little bit. I have not flipped it over and looked underneath, but it may be obvious when I do.

1.) How do I diagnose this? Is there a common seal that leaks?

2.) How do I get the back cover off? (EDIT: Nevermind, I found a youtube video to remove the washer ‘body’. Is this the proper way to access the internals?)

Thank you.

sounds like the drain pump is bad and needs replacing also the instruction on youtube is the correct way to get to the problem

Yep, remove the washer cabinet. Check the water pump seal for leaks.

OK, there does not appear to be any obvious leak on the underside of the machine. However, there are streaks of white crust down the back of the panel starting at the top of the tub. I have attached some pictures.

I have no clue what that means or what is leaking.

Check to see if there is a spring that attaches the rear base of the tub to the frame and be sure that it is still attached it is there to keep sure a thing as this from happening seems to me as through the tub is tilted slightly toward the front

That could be because I jostled it while looking at it.

I ran a full wash twice and never found any sort of leak.

Right before the cycle ends, it spins and puts water in WHILE its spinning. All I can figure is that for whatever reason, it was overloaded and some of the stiff items were above the tub when it sprayed in and with it spinning it slung that water out.

No clue otherwise.

All springs seem to be attached. Judging by the looks, its done it before though.
