Leaking Seal on Frigidaire Laundry Center

I have a Frigidaire Laundry Center LC 248J-L-6. It is at least 14 years old. Water is leaking from the shaft where it goes into the tub. I have not been able to get the agitator off.

Could anyone share some advice? Also trying to track down the necessary parts but that will be easier once I get the agitator off.
