Hello, I’m hoping to get some help repairing my LG TROMM electric dryer.
I had just moved into a older home, and I needed to change the 4 prong power cord to a three prong power cord. I followed the instructions on rear of dryer to switch them. I turned the power on and started a normal load setting, and I began smelling smoke and pulled the plug. It only ran for 10 seconds.
I learned from an electrician that there had been a change to the wiring on the back and I needed to put the ground and neutral on same terminal. I did that and it works, but now it seems like it only gets warm and needs to be turned on several times for one load of laundry, which before moving it only took one cycle.
So I need help in how to determine what I need to do to fix this. Thanks
Scott
