Where do the lock washers and cushion washers go that comes in a tub bearing repair kit?

Thanks for the answer. I wondered if that might be where they went but there was four of each in the kit and that threw me.

I replaced the tub bearing and mounting stem seal with the replacement kits and it still leaks. Are there any unknown steps that I could have missed. I used step by step instructions from the internet. There is a rust spot next to the hole the tub bearing goes in. I wonder if water is leaking there.

[SIZE=3]It is very possible that is the problem but I would go back and make sure the seal is pressed down good and the little rubber boot is also all the way down. I would say the rust spot is the cause but double check. [/SIZE]

Thanks Applianceman for the advice. I will take the tub back out and make sure everything is pressed down tight.
