I had to remove the top of the inner tub to get a small sponge that had gotten between the inner and outer tub and blocked the drain. After I put the washer back together it will not fill to rinse. It fill and goes through the wash cycle okay. When it reaches the rinse cycle, the pointer on the switch just quits moving. If you move the switch manually and turn it on through the rinse cycle, nothing happens. If you move it into the spin cycle, it begins to spin. Any suggestions?
Sounds like a timer problem to me.
The problem turned out to be that I had turned off the cold water to fix a leak and not turned it back on. The rinse uses cold water. I would like to add than when replacing the inner tub top, be certain to clean the area where the seal goes very well or you will some leaks.
Thanks
their is a termial fuse on your dryer.
Thank you for helping me fix my oven.
Now my GE side by side will not dispense water. The ice maker works just fine and I have tried all the trouble shooting tips in the GE Manual and even put in the filter bypass plug. I have removed the grill at the bottom and the line is flexible but suspect it may be frozen inside the door, is that correct? I have read all your Blogs on this and cannot figure out what to try next.
Two weeks ago the refrigerator started making an annoying vibrating sound so I jiggled it around and it stopped and it seemed to happen when I used the water so stopped using it for a while and now it will not work at all. This may be totally unrelated. I tried holding the water dispenser on for 3 minutes also in case air in the tube was the problem.
I appreciate your helpful site. GE repair visits are expensive! Thanks.
