My Maytag Bravos MTW660TB0 will no longer respond to any button I push on the control panel. If it power cycle the machine, then hold down the pause/cancel button for a few seconds, then hit the Power button, I regain control, but the washer is still not functioning properly. I pushed and held the pause/cancel button to abort the cycle and drain the water, but it doesn’t work.
With the water in the bottom of the tub, I was able to set it to "spin", The cycle seemed to start, the lock lid function activated, and the aggitator spun slowly back and forth, but the countdown timer did not move. I walked away for a few minutes and came back to a completely full washer (water to the top), and the code on the display was 5d (suds detected), but this doesn’t make sense because there are no suds in the water and we only use Tide HE detergent.
Is there a way to confirm that the logic board has an issue before I purchase a new one and replace it? Might this issue be something other than the control / logic board? The logic board is about a $300 part (W10130544), so I would like to try to make certain before I buy it.
