Maytag clothes washer, with new pump and belt, clothes were still too wet after s

Problem: Filling and agitation are fine. Most water is drained out, but clothes are too wet after spin cycle.

Following the suggestions from Gene of Appliance Parts Pros, I removed the belt and checked all three pulleys for pump, transmission, and motor. All pulleys were rotating freely in both directions. Both I still ordered and installed new pump assembly and new drive belt (which were replaced in Nov. 2007). I examined both drain hoses (the tub to the pump and from the pump out) and no any blockage was found. However, clothes are too wet after spin cycle.

Anything else I can do, except to hire an expert? Thank you.

The motor on this machine has got to free float so to speak almost as if it were loose. If not the motor will have trouble starting or getting up to speed. Other than that I don’t know the pump was the most likely and you have been through that already. Also be sure you are not trying to wash heavy clothes on slow spin. Just a thought I am not trying to say you don’t know how to use the machine. http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/clothes-washer-repair.html
