Maytag Dryer not heating

The dryer starts and runs, but is not heating. Timer works through the time set, so I confirmed continuity on the element (all OK), checked the cycle start thermostat (showed closed when cold - OK), the high limit cut off checks closed when cold (all OK). What sends power to the thermostat, the timer? start button? What do I check next to fix the issue?

Thanx, Ron

Ron … Check to make sure you have 220 volts at your wall outlet … If half your breaker tripped the dryer motor will still run on 110 but will not heat the element without 220 … If you have 220 at the wall check cord terminal for burnt wires.

Thanks Gabe. I do have 220 VAC coming in, and I’ve checked the cord connections. All OK. Just wondering. There are two wires coming into the cycle t-stat. Which one feeds hot, and where from? Again, Thanx

Maytag Model DE512 has three thermostats, one on the coils, two under the blower at the very bottom of the front. I used an ohm meter to ck all 3 and the coils, it all cked okay…you can ck w/o ohm meter by cking the coils to see if there is a break, or if one of the thermostats is bad. My problem ended up being the cord. It had burnt one of the prongs & that caused the dryer to pull 110V (work) instead of 220V(dry). I replaced the cord…we are working fine. Could not have done it without the info from Gabe and Ron.
