My maytag electric dryer has burned my cloths, just little spots plus there is a hot smell. We checked the filter and hoses and they were not obstructed with any lint. We wonder if it is the High limit thermostat or cycling thermostat? Thank you!
Thanks Gene, yesterday I found some advice about hooking pantyhose to the back of the vent, run the dryer and see what happens. I did just that and there was no more burnt smell plus the cloths dried quicker than usual. My husband thinks maybe the hose in back was crimped off where there was not good air flow. So far it is working good! Thanks for your website and your help.
