My Maytag Ensignia gas dryer will not start. I can here the timer running, the light in the drum turns on, the door closes ok, and the belt is in tack. What could be wrong?
First unplug unit before doing any disassembly.
You probably have an open thermal fuse, you’ll have to remove the front panel (4 screws, 2 in door hinge and two in white plastic trim pieces opposite from hinges), pop the front panel off and possibly the front drum support, again 4 screws, 1 at each corner. then using a multimeter you’ll have to check continuity at the fuse. If it’s open then that’s your problem. If the fuse checks ok check your door switch.
thermal fuse is AP4043259
hope this helps, let us know.
Edit, also when you get it running again check your airflow coming from your vent on the outside of your house. Poor airflow can cause a thermal fuse to fail (or do it’s job)
Ok so the DOOR SWITCH KIT is good, DOOR CATCH KIT is good, THERMAL FUSE is good, RADIANT FLAME SENSOR is good, ALL FUSES are good. The TIMER is getting power, and the belt is good. What could be the problem?
Thank you
Could be a bad motor, or timer.
