Initial Problem:
Dryer would not turn on when using the Timer/Control Knob. Had been intermittent for a few months on “turning on”, then finally quit altogether.
Timer was replace (main timer control, AP4042973).
After replacing timer, Dryer would now turn on, but:
On Intelligent sensor mode, dial (rotate) would not change no matter how long dryer was on. But if knob would was set close to “OFF” position, the dial would rotate and then shut off automatically. When shutting off, the cloths would not be dry
Sensor panel light for cloths drying would always indicate “damp”, even when cloths were totally wet or dry.
When knob was set to “timer” mode for drying, knob would rotate but when getting to “OFF” position, would continue to run past into next cycle.
Parts to be replaced recommended by service tech:
Dryness Display Assembly AP 4043070 ($70.61)
Sensor Assembly AP 4044037 ($30.00)
Sensor Bar AP 4043270 ($7.40)
Does this appropriate to change all these parts?
