Maytag Lat9806aae Want Spin

Washer Want Spin. Does Not Make Any Noises, Except For The Timer Ticking Thru The Cycle. It Empties Out The Water But Want Spin. All Other Functions Working Properly. Ive Replaced The Lid Switch, A Tech Checked The Timer, And I’ve Jumped The Motor With A Test Cord And It Will Spin. Could It Be The Starter Motor. Or Maybthe Timer Anyway. Please Help!!!
OH THE MOTOR DOES NOT OPERATE WHILE IN SPIN BUT WILL SPIN WITH THE JUMPER.

Yes The Motor Works With The Jumper. When In Use The Mashine Just Sits Their. I Can Shake The Timer In The Delicate Mode And It Will Spin. Could It Be The Timer And The Tech Just Missed It???

The Motor Checks Out With A Jumper, But While In Use At The Spin Cycle Nothing Happens Except Timer Clicking Away. Now Today I Put It On The Last Cycle And While In Spin I Shook The Yimer Knob And It Started , But No Other Cycle Will Do This.

Yes, the tech could have missed a problem with the timer. There are sometimes obvious problems with a timer, but the real test is to change it out and see if that fixes the problem.

Yours sounds like a problem with the timer, or with the connections or wiring from the timer, so I would check the wiring harness for continuity, look for any kind of break, and if it checks out try replacing the timer.

Just Wandering If The Motor Starter Might Have Something To Do With It. Thats Where I Jumped The Motor To Make It Spin. I Jumped The Wires On The Starter And It Will Spin In All Speeds. Just Hate To Spend 250 Dollars For A Timer If Thats Not The Problem. Does The Option Switches Have Any Effect On The Spin Cycle. Thank You For Your Info.

You just might have a problem with the timer and the motor centrifical switch.
You might just try a new centrifical switch AP4023837
You also should remove the timer cover, rotate the knob, and look for evidence of burnt contacts, that would confirm a bad timer.
Be carefull when you put a jumper on the centrifical switch, you just might short the start switch contacts. This will keep current on the start winding and if the timer keeps supplying rated current, the start winding will burn open!
