The washer will work fine but it will not go into the spin cycle. It will not drain the water all the way out and leaves the clothes wet and much heavier than normal.
How do you remove the front panel to evaluate the compotents?
Any suggestions?

If you will insert a screw driver or firm putty knife in the gap between the front and top near the edges you will release the clips that hold the top to the front.
You can now raise the top, and take out the screws that hold the front on. This will allow you to inspect the motor, belt etc and to run the machine with the front off to trouble shoot it.
