Maytag performa bad tub bearing and seal

i got this washer and a matching dryer for free from my brothers friend thought id try and fix it.

first off it was leaking a little bit from the bottom and when it would go into the spin cycle it sounded like a jet engine taking off, i called a guy and he said that it was more than likely the tub bearing and tub seal, and that it would be better for me to go buy a new one than have him fix it. never wanted him to any way just wanted advice:D .

he said there are special tools that are required to remove the tub i asked what and he said a spanner wrench and some others that he didnt remember.

can any one give me some insturctions on how to go about replacing these.

thanks
Josh

well i finally orderd the parts on sunday and they arived today. The job really wasnt to hard and every thing is working the way is should now. had a little difficulty reorintating the outer tub with the plate that it bolts to guess i should have marked it. The spanner wrench that i received which is the same one a that is pictured above, was of no use at all, maybe i was just trying to use it wrong but i ended up taking it apart with a big pair of channel locks. At any rate i thank you for your help and im glad that it is working correctly again
