Maytag SE1000 won't spin or drain

I have a Maytag SE1000 series 06 sn#114073 VN. A while back the motor would chatter before going into the spin/drain cycle and we would smell hot electrical, after a few days or loads the machine stopped completely like the power was pulled. I replaced the Control Assembly (#15 on most part diagrams of “Front Panel & Control Group”) with a series 00 because I was not able to find a series 06 anyplace. The washer and dryer worked for about a month until the washer would not spin or drain. I replaced both belts (drive and pump), at that time I noticed that the motor would function if I pushed up on the pulley, I do not suggest this (it was by accident, I was desperate, got quite startled, and still have all fingers), with my wisdom I replaced my motor, once again with a series 00 because I could not find a series 06. I start the washer cycle and it fills up great, pauses as normal, and then agitates for 5-10 seconds stops and you can smell electrical. If I try to just use the spin cycle the motor works and pumps for 5-10 seconds stops and once again the electrical smell.
I have a manual that indicated the problem could be the motor reversing relay or the motor run relay. I have replaced both relays (waited for parts to ensure the wiring would be correct) and the situation is the same.
I have disconnected the drive belt and tried the spin cycle once more, and once again the motor worked for 5-10 seconds and then stopped. I have also tried to reset the panel by disconnecting the power for more than an hour with no change. This was suggested to me by a repairman.

What should I do, or replace or test now?

I’m not sure if you mean the springs that are located on the motor mount slide? If so they are fine, and there are not any others that I am aware of. When the drive belt is off the only belt connected is the one to the pump, therefore it is only opperating the pump and it does that just fine for about 5-10 seconds.
I am also not sure of the incdent that you are refering to.

Please

I was refering to the pushing up of the pulley.
What motor did you put on part number?

Ok,
Sounds like you have something in your pump causing a strain on the motor or possibly a defective new motor (which does happen) but I’d lean more to an obstruction or just bad pump.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher that leaks on the front right corner. We have replaced the door seal, but it continues to leak. We just finished a new kitchen and have been pulling the unit in and out as work has been done. I wonder if the machine isn’t level and if that is causing the problem or something else. Please help!!
