I have a MDB7100AWB that has been working fine for the last 7 years. Now all of the sudden it will not complete a wash cycle in any mode (including auto clean). It consistantly stops at 85 on normal wash & at 65 on light wash and then clicks/buzzes about every 3 seconds, like it wants to continue - but never does. The only cycle that it will complete is "rinse only" - because it’s only 8 minutes long. Any clues as to what to try? Is it worth trying to fix at this age (7 years)? I am pretty handy/mechanically inclined so I can dig into it if I have to!
Open the control panel and unplug the key pad ribbon from the control board. Clean it using a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser. You can clean the connector on the board gently using electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Do not reconnect until the solvent evaporates.
If it would not help then the key pad has to be replaced. If you need the correct part number for the key pad then post the complete model number of the microwave and the color of the control panel.

I have a Whirlpool Dishwasher model# DU1055XTPQ3 (serial # F54522859) that I am experiencing a problem with. During a cycle I heard a loud buzzing sound coming from the door. I removed the door and found that it was the soap dispenser/rinse aid motor was the source of the noise. I unplugged the wires from the motor and checked the resistance across the motor and it measured fine. I then started a new wash cycle and checked the voltage coming to the motor. It measured 42 volts constantly without decreasing to 0 until the dry cycle started. Would this be caused by some faulty relay in the control board, or burnt out switch on the control board? If it is a component on the control board does the entire control board need to be replaced?
If the dispenser resistance reading is 280-300 Ohms, replace the control board.
