The timer spins and does not stop at the end of each setting (regular wash, permanent press. delicates). Also, nothing works no matter where you put the timer dial (fill, spin, rinse. wash). I think the timer is bad? What do you think?
Well, it sure sounds like a timer problem, but about the only way to tell is to buy a timer and put it in and see if that fixes the problem. I only hesitate to recommend this because it is an expensive part, and if that is not the problem you may have spent the money and still not fixed your washer.

My gas drier when it’s in the automatic mode, heats great for 15 minutes and then there is no heat. The timer also doesn’t advance.
In the timed dry mode, there is no heat at all. I am at a loss.
