Maytag washer, timer good till rinse-no spin, drain orstop/timer keeps clicking freely

I set the timer, everythings good till the rinse. Water fills, agitate, spin and drain, RINSE- water fills the tub, then nothing (pause)… clothes floating, no spin, draining, but the timer knob keeps going… ticking/clicking along, all the way past off. (I haven’t waited long enough to see if another cycle starts as the timer dial reaches a new cycles… ie: permanant press from the normal cycle. that’s beside the point…)this will happen in the perm. press and normal cycle modes.
Also, I noticed the clothes being a little wet, at the end of the cycle, before this weird dial thing happened. Any help would be appriciated.
Plus, I think it may be the timer and that’s $130, which means I want to be sure it’s the right part… or I’ll just buy a new washer.
Thanks and have a great day!!!
Greg

Seems like a bad timer AP4024623 It is a Kingston timer that cannot be taken apart to check the contacts. If you have a meter, you could verify it’s bad.

Did you figure out which part you need? We are having the same issue.

Check your schematic, I am sure a bad lid switch would stop both agitate and spin as it cuts off motor power for the motor if open.
