Maytag washer will fill to the proper level then stop. It will not start the cycle. I turned the dial to the spin cycle to spin and drain but that does not work as well. I purchase a lid switch and installed it but no change to the problem. What is the next step? Any advice would be helpful. 
That should have fixed things. Check the fuse and if it is ok then try by-passing the switch to rule it in or out.
